Sur une invitation du projet éditorial évolutif FloppyPoppyWidy MATTER, Distant call, soft voices est une collaboration éditoriale entre flight of fancy et la plateforme curatoriale Media Naranja. Cet échange prend la forme d’un fusionnement de deux retranscriptions écrites d’une même conversation téléphonique qui habitent conjointement l’espace de la page. Les protagonistes de cette conversation s’interrogent sur la trace du passage de l’oralité à l’écrit et sur les possibilités d’incarner nos recherches.

At the invitation of the evolving editorial project FloppyPoppyWidy MATTER, Distant call, soft voices is an editorial collaboration between flight of fancy and the curatorial platform Media Naranja. This exchange takes the form of the merging of two different written transcriptions of a phone conversation jointly inhabiting the page space. The protagonists of this conversation question the trace of the passage from the spoken to the written word and the possibilities of embodying our research.

Nous sélectionnons si possible des textes accessibles en ligne et partageons ces conversations sur Youtube.

Weathering Station is a programme of online conversations with authors writing science-fiction, speculative fiction and magical realism launched during the confinement by flight of fancy in collaboration with the art space one gee in fog and the publication house Clinamen. We prioritise texts available online and share these conversations on Youtube.

Dans le cadre du festival La Dérivée et de sa semaine consacrée à la magie/sorcellerie, flight of fancy, Marie Van Berchem et Vanessa Vicente proposent divers ateliers autour de la taromancie, allant de l’initiation à cette pratique basée sur l’interprétation de symboles et d’archétypes, au tirage de cartes, en passant par des ateliers de dessin de cartes visant à repenser cette structure archétypale en réponse à des enjeux actuels tels que la privatisation des biens communs, le patriarcat, les mutations technologiques ou la crise écologique. Dans une perspective ainsi à la fois ludique, critique et spéculative, cet événement prend comme point de départ le tarot pour engager une réflexion collective autour du vivre ensemble.

As part of the festival La Dérivée and its week dedicated to magic/witchcraft, flight of fancy, Marie Van Berchem and Vanessa Vicente are running taromancy workshops, ranging from initiations to this practice based on the interpretation of symbols and archetypes, to card drawing workshops aimed at rethinking this archetypal structure in response to current issues such as the privatization of the commons, patriarchy, technological mutations or the ecological crisis. From a playful, critical and speculative perspective, this event takes the tarot as its starting point to engage in a collective reflection on living together.

flight of fancy invite le collectif FUSION (Cécile Bouffard, Roxanne Maillet et Clara Pacotte) pour le lancement du premier numéro de leur revue, VNOUJE, une « épopée lesbienne » en cours d’écriture, édition évolutive et collective augmentée à chaque nouvelle parution par une petite sculpture.
Lancement, lecture d’extraits de VNOUJE et dégustation d’un cocktail inédit (le Lez’béton) à Duplex (Genève) le 26 juin 2019.
